I have been living in the Parkdale Hood since December and can’t believe how I had missed this amazing local Tibetan and Indian restaurant! Literally three minutes walk from my house on Queen Street West at Jameson (directly beside the TD Bank) Om Restaurant.
First impressions were full of smiles. I walked into the restaurant at 6:30pm and was greeted by a Tibetan family sitting around one of the restaurant tables eating dinner. My waiter for the evening was so kind, informative and simply delightful that I wanted to throw money at him. Amazing customer service and everything with a smile, a gentle nod of the head. The place has a few Dali Lama references. I think the Zen here rubs off on employees and visitors alike.
The main dining area is fitted with tables and leather seats. We chose to walk to the back where a large backyard patio is located. Tibetan Buddhist prayer streamers flew above our heads as we rummaged through the menu. The portion sizes were desirable and the prices were very reasonable! Amazables!
