Te Aro Cafe in Leslieville

I recently met up with my friends Troy and Mike at Te Aro Roasted, a cafe in Leslieville, which has become somewhat of an institution. Clearly the coffee watering hole of choice in Toronto’s East End, Te Aro was packed with every demographic: gays, yuppies, grandparents, young families and pets.

Mike grabbed one of the last spots on the patio while Troy and I hopped in line. Troy was raving about his craving for their famous salted caramel cookies. When he found out they had sold out he was bitter like 90% dark chocolate (eek). I ordered a foamy latte with a chocolate peanut butter bar and chewy oatmeal chocolate chip. Mike ordered an espresso with chocolate brownie.
