Toronto’s Best Thai at Khao San Road

I’m a big lover of everything Khao San Road. It’s one of Toronto’s best Thai restaurants.

After traveling through Thailand and living in Bangkok for two weeks I became an authentic Thai snob. Toronto has historically been a wasteland for traditional Thai restaurants. The majority of Pad Thai in this city is muddled with ketchup rather than tamarind (heaves, gags, winces).

Khao San Road is located in Toronto’s trendy King West neighbourhood. The restaurant is incredibly popular so if you are keen to lunch during the week make a reservation or you’ll be standing in a line that smells of desperation.

Khao San Road is one of the few Thai restaurants in Toronto that serves Thai staples you’d enjoy while traveling in Thailand. Everything on the menu is worth sampling. Bring a group of friends and feast through crunchy pumpkin fritters, creamy curry, and spicy Pad Thai.
