Mysteriously Yours Dinner Theatre in Toronto

I recently took my mother to Mysteriously Yours Dinner Theatre on Yonge Street between Davisville and Eglington. We arrived shortly after 6pm and were seated in the large dinning theatre. We sat with an awkward couple from Ajax. I think it actually may have been their first date. In retrospect I was so pleased to have shared it with them. First date awkwardness is ever so entertaining especially when woven into a tale of faux murder with interactive actors rife with commentary.

As we were eating our meal the actors started to pour out amongst the audience tables. Each actor popped by to tell us a little about themselves and divulge a few clues. Murder At Twilight takes place in America’s South (and you will notice our menu reflected time and place). A buxom blond is celebrating her birthday, a murder takes place and it is up to the police chief (and audience) to question the characters and figure out who committed such a heinous crime (at dinner of all places)!

Mysteriously Yours has been around for over 25 years. The evening was good fun. The food was well prepared and reflected the origins of the evenings play which made me smile. It was nice to see that the Chef had made the connection between storyline and menu. If you are looking for a refreshing experience in Toronto make sure to take a few friends to the cities favourite restaurant where every night, someone dies.
