I visited PJ’s during my stay at Windermere House on Lake Rosseau Muskoka. The bar is located smack dab in the middle of the hotel, directly in front of the entrance to The Rosseau Grill and spills out onto the verandah which offers a stunning lake view. The bar is run by Toronto’s Oliver & Bonacini and offers a fantastic cocktail list as well as a menu which can be enjoyed at the bar or on the verandah. It is a great spot to grab a drink after a day on the water, between golf games or just before heading to dinner at the Pub or Rosseau Grill.
Erin and I hopped up on bar stools while watching a montage of the London 2012 Olympic games which were right in the thick of competition. We orderd each and every drink which stuck out to us as being unique and worthy of quaffing.
We sampled:
PJ’s Citrus Rum Punch
sweet spiced infused lamb’s white rum, freshly squeezed lime and orange syrup, topped with lemon soda
O & B Pickled Caesar
beefeater gin infused with garden veggies, fresh jalapeno and rosemary, topped with clamato
Berry Mojito
lamb’s black sheep spiced rum with muddled berries, mint and lime
Sparkling Sangria
apricot brandy, absolut raspberri, prosecco and pink lemonade
Dirty Martini
gin, olives, dirty’ness
Smoked Manhattan
smoked whisky, sweet vermouth, bitters and vanilla infused cherries
