And there I was yet again underdressed shivering on a Toronto street corner waiting for the TTC to whisk me away. I crammed on the bus like a lonely sardine and spent the next twenty minutes cruising south on Dufferin towards Exhibition Place. This would be my first visit to Muzik Nightclub and was impressed by a rather regal red carpet entranceway. At 6pm I pushed through the doors and soon found myself mixing and mingling in a rather magical space.
Muzik is absolutely massive and regularly hosts several thousand dance ragers on its Saturday night party. A DJ played under a massive disco ball which slowly spun while hovering under the buildings iconic glass dome. The space was dressed in billowy and elegant white curtains while blue and white balloons floated overhead. A homage to Grey Goose. The star of the show that evening would be Canada’s first exclusive Grey Goose Lounge. The white centric space was designed by Rob Dittmer and feels as though you have just walked into an intimate slice of heaven.
That evening I sipped on five exclusive cocktails that are available for member consumption at The Lounge. Muzik had several stations set up throughout the space featuring various sip and nibble pairings. Guests snacked on beef sliders, freshly shucked oysters, eggplant crostini, caviar with yukon blini and an addictive korean style short rib. I lost myself at the dessert table, got side tracked at the venues free makeup and hair touch-up salon…all the while dancing about with a cold glass in hand. Tuesday night, a little voddy for the body.
